Call for Reviewers

CITE Research Symposium 2025 (CITERS 2025) will be held on 2 and 3 May 2025 at The University of Hong Kong. CITERS 2025 is organized by the Centre for Information Technology in Education (CITE) of the University of Hong Kong. This year’s theme for the symposium is Touching Hearts and Inspiring Minds with Emerging Digital Technologies.

The symposium will bring together researchers and practitioners interested in educational uses of information technology in order to:

  • share and learn about recent research results and evidence-based practices
  • improve the use of design and technology in teaching and learning, and
  • support participants’ professional learning, growth, and networking with colleagues

As researchers and practitioners focus on creating meaningful change in education, we seek to empower individuals and communities to take action and create positive outcomes in their respective fields, including but not limited to the following sub-themes:

  1. Human-AI Collaboration in Teaching and Learning
  2. Intelligent Learning Design and Learning Analytics
  3. Learning and Teaching with Emerging Technologies
  4. Education Equity and Digital Wellbeing
  5. Emerging Literacies for Future Readiness
  6. Multimodal Composing with Linguistic and Multimodal Generative AI

We are inviting you to sign up as a reviewer for CITERS 2025. These are the primary responsibilities for any reviewer:

  • Promote the Call for Submission to your colleagues, networks, and mailing lists between now and February 2025.
  • Provide constructive and actionable feedback to all authors who submit Proposals; Please complete and enter reviews in the submission system in a timely fashion, so we can notify authors once reviews are completed. This will allow them more time to develop a high-quality final presentation.
  • Promote the preliminary and final Program to colleagues and networks between now and May 2025.

CITERS depends on volunteering reviewers to ensure the quality of the symposium submissions. Please consider signing up as a reviewer by filling in the registration form (click the following button). Your contribution will be greatly appreciated.

The Review Process this year can be summarized as follows:

  • Call for Submission deadline is 18 February, 2025 (Tue)
  • The review process is to be completed by March 17, 2025 (Mon)

Expected Review Effort

The Publication Committee Chair will assign submissions based on your stated sub-theme expertise. You will expect to review 4-6 submissions.

First-Time Reviewers?

Don’t worry if you are a first-time reviewer. Researchers, students, and practitioners of all levels are warmly welcomed, and your expertise and contribution are highly appreciated. We aim to build an inclusive reviewer panel from a broad range of background, research topics, methods, modes of inquiry, and experience levels. We will provide support and guidelines for those who are new to the peer review process.
