Touching Hearts and Inspiring Minds with Emerging Digital Technologies

The Centre for Information Technology in Education (CITE) of the Faculty of Education of The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is holding its research symposium, that is, CITERS 2025, on 2 and 3 May, 2025 at HKU.

CITE, which aims to strive for excellence in the use of IT in education, provides a platform for individuals and institutions, dreamers and experts to come together to build new knowledge about learning and transformative use of technology. CITERS 2025 welcomes academics and researchers, postgraduate and research students, K-12 school leaders and teachers, staff of international schools, government officials and people of related fields from Hong Kong, Mainland China and different parts of the world to come to share ideas, research findings and good practices, and join our discussions on various topics, including the latest curriculum initiatives of science education in Hong Kong. Staff from local schools can register for the morning sessions of the practitioner strand on 3 May 2025 (Saturday) through the Training Calendar System of the Education Bureau in April. More information will be available in late March.

The theme for CITERS 2025 is ‘Touching Hearts and Inspiring Minds with Emerging Digital Technologies’. We invite you to submit your contributions to one of the six sub-themes:

  1. Human-AI Collaboration in Teaching and Learning
  2. Intelligent Learning Design and Learning Analytics
  3. Learning and Teaching with Emerging Technologies
  4. Education Equity and Digital Wellbeing
  5. Emerging Literacies for Future Readiness
  6. Multimodal Composing with Linguistic and Multimodal Generative AI
